Submitted!

April 21, 2011

We can finally say we are submitted! After many mountains getting in our way we are finally submitted! Now we are praying for a very quick SDA appt so we can get home in time for our son's graduation from high scool. It is all in the Lord's timing and we are trusting him just as we are trusting and believing for the remaining money that we need to get the girls home. We will be having a garage sale on April 30 and a car wash on May 7. We know it will happen. He has brought us through so many things include providing for Miranda to come home to us too. You can still give through our chip in or our fsp account at www.reecesrainbow.org/sponsoregan. Getting so excited to finally be able to see over those mountains! Praising that awesome God of ours that 2 precious children will finally be able to say they have a family after nearly 9 years in an orphanage!

Package has arrived again!

April 8,2011 After only 8 days our priority package finally arrived to it's destination. Now hoping that they will submit us next week since they have the documents they requested. Tomorrow is our carwash-praying for good weather and a good turnout. Next Friday is our big 50's,60's dance. We are really looking forward to this one and praying again for a good turnout. We are trusting the mountain moving God to bring the results we need. We are so close to getting them home that it actually hurts thinking about them still being over there with no mama or daddy. I just can't wait to give them that first hug. Pray that the Lord is preparing their hearts to love us and accept us and that the transition will be smooth. Pray that we hear something on Monday about getting submitted next week! Trusting in the one with perfect timing!

Good news finally!

April 6, 2011 Today was a bit frustrating to start with. I have been tracking my second package since it left and since April 2nd it left Paris and went to Algiers? I called Monday and again Tuesday and was assured it had left Algiers and was enroute to our daughters' country in Eastern Europe. I checked this am on line and it still said destination Algiers. I called again and was told it was actually in Paris and had never left there. It was stuck in customs since april 2nd. Which didn't make any sense. I asked to talk to a supervisor and they said someone would call back within 4 hours! Luckily it was only 1 hr ad the nice lady named Joyce said the package was being held along with thousands of other packages due to "civil unrest" in our daughters' country. She then admitted my package had mistakenly been sent to Algiers first and then it came back to Paris. She said once the package was delivered to our country that she would notify the billing dept to send us our $150+ dollars we had spent for priority delivery. She gave me her direct number to call her back tomorrow to be sure our package had been sent on. Well then tonight I just looked on line and it shows the correct destination and that it had left Paris at 3:25am Paris time! It should get there tomorrow. Also tonight I found out that our church had voted to pay for one of our airline tickets up t0 $1400. This is huge! Praising the one who is moving the mountains! We could still be submitted next week! Going to bed tonight feeling a little more at peace about this situation- it is in the Lord's hands and our girls will be home soon!

More Documents Requested

April 4, 2011

Ok so our documents arrived and were delivered quickly but then the dreaded: We need more information requiring more documents to be filled out, notarized, certified and apostilled. So this meant another trip to Frankfort-2 hrs away. So last Wednesday I filled out all the paperwork and got it notarized, got up early on Thurs and took the kids to a friends, headed to the county court house and got them all certified and then headed to Danville Ky to get a new copy of our homestudy with some rewording, then got it certified and headed to Frankfort for the apostilles. From there drove almost 2 hours to the fedex from there and sent these new documents off to our childrens' country. I have been tracking it of course and it should arrive tomorrow in their country. Praying all will be sufficient once again. In the mean time we celebrated our daughter's wedding this weekend and watched her go off with her new husband. It was a beautiful and perfect ceremony. I will post the only pic I have from it so far. It is Danielle and her friend. I must say she is beautiful! We will work in earnest now to continue to fundraise for the remaining funds that we need. Again: car wash, Apr 9, 50's 60's dance April 15th and garage sale April 16th. It will be a busy month. Again thank you to all who have donated we really do appreciate it all the help to get our precious girls home!
